FUP stands for Fair Usage Policy. It is a data usage limit set by the provider to ensure fair network usage for all users. If you exceed this limit, your internet speed will be automatically reduced, but you will still be able to use it.

If your FUP is used up while your Unlimited package is still active, you can continue using the internet at a reduced speed. However, you won’t be able to add extra data or purchase a new package for the same country until the current Unlimited package expires.

Example: You purchase an Unlimited package with a 1GB FUP. Once you reach the FUP limit, you won’t be able to add a 2GB FUP top-up or any additional data until your current Unlimited package ends.

Installing the Kurosim eSIM on my iOS device

You can install Kurosim eSIM on your iOS device in two ways:

One-Click Instant Kurosim Setup

After purchasing your eSIM, open the My eSIMs page.
Choose the eSIM you would like to install.
You will see Install eSIM button at the middle of your screen
Tap Install eSIM on the botton of the page and you will be redirected to iPhone settings. Click Allow and follow the on-screen instructions on your iPhone.
And you are done! 🎉

Manual Kurosim Setup

After purchasing your eSIM, open the My eSIMs page.
Choose the eSIM you would like to install, and click Install eSIM at the middle of the page
On top of that page, choose **Manual **
Open your iPhone Settings
Select Cellular / Mobile Service
Click Add eSIM
Choose Use QR Code
If you don't have access to the QR Code, select Enter Details Manually
Copy and Paste the details from the Kurosim App

How do I delete an eSIM from the Kurosim app?

There are two kinds of eSIM deletion, App level deletion and permanent deletion. When you delete an eSIM from your Kurosim account, the plan will still run on your device, and you can recover the deleted eSIM within 30 days. To permanently delete an eSIM, you need to remove it in your device settings as well.

Deleting an eSIM from your Kurosim Account

Open your Kurosim App, then go to the My eSIMs page
Click the three dots in the top right corner on the eSIM you want to delete
Select Delete from Account
Please reconsider again before you delete the eSIM from your account.

Deleting eSIM from your Device Settings

iOS device

Go to Settings
Click on Cellular / ** Mobile Service**
Select the eSIM that you want to delete
Delete eSIM.

Android device

Go to Settings
Click on Connections
Tap on SIM card manager
Select the eSIM that you want to delete
Remove.

How can I check if my device is network locked?

Network lock or carrier lock is a restriction that limits mobile devices to specific countries or networks. You can check if your device's network is locked or not by following this instruction:

Check Network Lock on iOS device

Go to Settings
Then General
Tap on About
If your carrier lock says No SIM restrictions that means your device's network is unlocked, but if it says eSIM, that means your network is locked.

Check Network Lock on Android device

Go to Settings
Tap on SIM Card & Mobile Network
Click Mobile Networks
Turn off the automatically select network
If it only show 1 network that means your device has the network locked, but if it more, then your network is unlocked.

You can contact your phone carrier to adjust this setting.

My data is turned on but it is not working. What should I do?

If you have trouble with the connection, you can check if you are following these requirements:

1. Are you in the right country or region?

Make sure your destination country or region is the same as the eSIM plan you have bought. You can check it out on My eSIM page.

2. Make sure you didn’t set the wrong date for your activation later on in your eSIM activation.

You can check this on the Kurosim app by opening the eSIM details. If you set the activation date for a later time, you can simply change it to "activate now". However, if you chose an earlier activation date, you will need to contact us via Live Chat or WhatsApp to adjust the activation date.

3. Make sure your device is not in airplane mode.

4. Check if your data plan is switched on from your setting device.

Go to Settings
Tap Cellular / Mobile Services
