What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a small digital SIM chip built directly into compatible devices such as smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches.

Unlike a traditional physical SIM card, an eSIM doesn't need to be inserted or removed. Instead, it can be activated digitally, allowing you to switch mobile networks or data plans without changing a physical SIM card.

This is especially useful when traveling internationally, as you can quickly connect to a local network for better coverage and more affordable data—without the hassle of buying or swapping SIM cards.

You can check whether your device supports eSIM here.
